Love God. Love people. Love the world. In other words, ministry!

Love People

Our love of people is expressed in everything we do.
Specific ministries that express our commitment to loving people include:

  • Ministries of Care

    Called to Care
Trained lay volunteers regularly visit elderly or ill parishioners, extending compassion and care through personal contact and visitation. Contact our Minister of Congregational Care for more information on being a Called to Care team member or receiving a visit.

    “KCC Cabs”
Helping neighbors with rides to church or to the doctor’s office.

    Pastoral Care
Our Senior Pastor and Minister of Congregational Care are available for pastoral support and spiritual care through any and all life’s challenges and changes.

    Grief Support
Funeral and memorial service planning; bereavement support; grief support groups.

  • Fellowship

    Gatherings and Celebrations
Our Board of Fellowship regularly organizes and hosts opportunities to deepen friendship and make connections. Chili or Soup Sundays, Progressive Dinner, Rally Sunday Ice Cream Social, Family Cookouts are among the yearly events that bring us together and nurture our love for others.

  • Open and Affirming

In May 2015 KCC affirmed its long-held commitment to inclusion of all by officially adopting the following statement:

We welcome into our community persons of every gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, mental and physical ability, age, race, nationality, economic and social status, faith background, marital standing and family structure; and we invite all to share in the life, leadership, ministry, fellowship, worship, sacraments, responsibilities, blessings and joys of our congregation.

We continue to grow in allyship and advocacy and regularly celebrate Pride month and Pride Sunday in June.
