Lauren Rogers is a student pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations at Southern New Hampshire University and is based in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.
Children’s Church Coordinator

Anne has a wealth of experience in developing and leading education programs for children, youth and adults. She spent many years leading adult/young adult education in the RI correctional system and locally at a social service program, Looking Upwards, supporting children, youth, families and disabled adults. She has a Bachelor’s degree from URI and a Masters from Rhode Island College.
Children’s Church Assistant
Luna is a senior at URI buts lives locally. She is a Textile Merchandising and Design major. She has channeled her love of working with children as a swim instructor, a camp counselor and a nanny.

Shirley Schock has filled the role of Office Administrator for many years, since returning to RI after living in Lexington, MA where she worked for another UCC church. KCC seemed a natural fit since her husband’s parents were married in the church and she is a University of Rhode Island graduate. She enjoys being in Kingston and working with the wonderful congregation and church staff of KCC.
Shirley’s interests include fine art, visiting art galleries and museums, reading, and getting to the beach as often as possible, as well as spending time with her family. She lives in Wakefield with her husband and son.

Rev. Dr. Jan Gregory-Charpentier joined Kingston Congregational after serving three other New England UCC congregations over the past 30+ years. Her passion is combining deep, Christian spirituality with active engagement in the world. Her Doctor of Ministry degree focused on worship, spirituality and preaching. She has been involved in many community based ministries throughout her life, including those that addressed the needs of adults with mental illness, homeless families and hunger/food insecurity.
Jan loves biking and hiking, growing flowers and reading books. She lives with her husband, Ron, and together they have three adult sons, Benjamin, William and Jesse.

Rev Cheryl Boyd von Ehrenkrook joined the KCC staff in July 2024 after serving 9 years on the staff of the UCC’s South Central Conference. She has a Juris Doctorate (1988), a Master of Arts in Christian Service (2008) and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, Sociology and Political Science (1985). She served 12 years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force as a Judge Advocate and medically retired as a Major in 2002.
Rev Cheryl is passionate about Pastoral Care and Counseling and Discipleship. She also serves as the Director of KCC’s Chime Choir. She serves the wider UCC as Rhode Island Association Registrar and is a member of the Southern New England Conference Board of Directors.
Rev Cheryl actively practices Yoga and walking for health. She and her husband, Ralph, live with their cats in Newport.

Eden is a voice coach, arranger, musical director, and active performer based in Wakefield RI. A native of Dublin Ohio who moved to Rhode Island in 2010, Eden has served as an itinerant church musician in churches, temples, and parishes across the Ocean State.

Andy spent 40 years designing precision measurement instrumentation. He graduated of Northeastern University and Wentworth Institute of Technology and worked as an engineer for three major corporations. Andy is a Navy veteran and alumni of U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md. Andy has also owned and operated six rental properties over the years, including building and operating The Scarborough Motor Inn. And is married to his wife Kathy for over 50 years and has two adult children, Steve and Michelle.
